The author, Ron Day, has actively photographed wildlife for the past 15 years.  His work has been "Highly Honored" in the Windland Smith Rice International Awards, and has been a Tier One Winner in NANPA's Showcase competition.  

Through the art of photography, his goal is to reveal the character of his subject in its natural surroundings, and he strives to achieve that objective by knowing and understanding the species.  

Ron's images have been published by Equus, National Wildlife, Nature's Best Photography, Nature Photographer, NANPA, and Wild Bird, and displayed on the Audubon, Birder's World, and Earth Shots websites.  He is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association.
